Los cantantes británico Gary Barlow, canadiense Michael Bublé y colombiano Sebastián Yatra han unido sus voces en el single ‘Elita’, colaboración que grabaron durante el confinamiento por la pandemia y se presenta ahora con su correspondiente videoclip:
La pegadiza canción de fusión pop latino une a tres de los nombres grandes del pop colaborar por primera vez. El vídeo de ‘Elita’ está dirigido por Vaughan Arnell (Sam Smith, Paloma Faith, Pet Shop Boys, Spice Girls) y fue rodado remotamente, con miles de kilómetros entre cada uno de ellos: con Gary en Londres, Michael en Vancouver y Sebastián en Miami.
La idea de la colaboración comenzó en noviembre del año pasado, cuando originalmente Barlow y Bublé iban a compartir créditos. «Originalmente éramos solo nosotros dos, con Bublé», comentó Gary en una entrevista, añadiendo: «Pero entonces Michael dijo que conocía este increíble talento que sería perfecto para la canción. En una hora estábamos todos al teléfono y cuando Sebastián envió la canción de vuelta, estábamos muy emocionados. Tiene un carisma increíble, simplemente sonaba muy auténtico».
Al respecto indicó Michael Bublé: «No creo que alguna vez haya tenido una canción pop que tuviese tres personas, todas juntas. Pensé que sería una grandísima idea, ya que ha moldeado diferentes culturas y aspectos de la música, y consideré que sería una mezcla realmente perfecta. Y la canción es emocionante, es sexy, tiene mucha fuerza». Y Sebastián Yatra (que está teniendo también ahora éxito con su single con Aitana), por su lado, declaró entusiasmado: «Todavía no puedo creer que esté en una canción con Gary Barlow y Michael Bublé. Hemos hecho todo esto a distancia, pero siento como si fuésemos tres amigos de toda la vida. Estos chicos son puro corazón y talento. ¡Qué ganas de seguir aprendiendo de sus consejos, ejemplo y amistad en todo este proceso y los proyectos futuros! ¡Esperamos que os guste Elita tanto como a nosotros!».
Se trata del nuevo single del componente de la banda británica Take That , Gary Barlow, en la carrera que lleva en solitario y que será incluido en su próximo (el 5º) álbum «Music Played By Humans», que incluye además colaboraciones de invitados como Barry Manilow, James Corden o Chilly Gonzalez y sale a la venta el 27 de noviembre. Es el primer disco en solitario desde «Since I Saw You Last» (2013). Sobre el nuevo disco comentó: «Este es el primer álbum que he hecho que me permita colaborar con este calibre de músicos en mis canciones. Mi ambición con este álbum es crear algo realmente luminoso, una celebración de la música y los músicos que tenemos en UK y alrededor del planeta. Algunas partes están grabadas con orquesta, otras con una banda latina, otras tienen elementos de jazz y big band…»
