La banda de indie-rock estadounidense Imagine Dragons presenta ‘Bones’, su nuevo single acompañado del correspondiente videoclip. Es el primer adelanto de “Mercury – Act 2”, su sexto álbum de estudio previsto para publicar en este próximo verano.
‘Bones’ ha sido compuesta por Robin Fredriksson, Mattias Larsson, Daniel Platzman, Ben McKee, Wayne Sermon & Dan Reynolds y producida por el dúo sueco Mattman & Robin con los que ya habían trabajado en temas anteriores, siendo mezclada por Serban Ghenea. El vídeo musical ha sido dirigido por Jason Koenig.
«‘Bones’ es un reflejo de mi constante obsesión por la finitud y la fragilidad de la vida. Un examen animado de la vida y la muerte«, comentó Dan Reynorld, líder del grupo, añadiendo: «siempre estoy en busca de alguna evidencia que me convenza de que hay más por venir – que la vida es realmente eterna en algún sentido. Como todavía no lo he encontrado, intento al menos soñar con lo que se sentiría al vencer a la muerte en una canción».
Imagine Dragons se formó en 2009 por Dan Reynolds (vocalista), Daniel Wayne Sermon (guitarrista), Ben McKee (bajista) y Daniel Platzman (baterista), ganando reconocimiento mundial con el lanzamiento de su álbum debut “Night Visions” (2012) al que siguieron “Smoke + Mirrors” (2015), “Evolve”(2017) y “Origins” (2018), con singles destacados como ‘It’s time’, ‘Radioctive’, ‘Demons’, ‘Believer’, ‘Thunder’ o ‘Natural’.
A finales del 2019, tras una intensa gira, habían decidido tomar un descanso para dedicarles más tiempo a sus familiares. Con más 40 millones de álbumes vendidos, 50 millones de canciones vendidas en todo el mundo y 60 mil millones de streams combinados,ha sido el grupo de rock más vendedor de la pasada década. El año pasado publicaron “Mercury – Act 1” con la colaboración del reputado productor Rick Rubin y el exitoso single ‘Enemy’ para la BSO de la serie de animación “Arcane, League of Legends”.
