La cantautora británica Adele presenta el videoclip de ‘Oh my god’, su nuevo single por fin de una de las canciones más virales de su exitoso “30”, su cuarto álbum de estudio publicado hace pocos meses.
‘Oh My God’ ha sido compuesta por Adele junto a Greg Kurstin, quién también se encargo de la producción. El vídeo musical, dirigido por Sam Brown (con quien había colaborado con anterioridad para su gran éxito ‘Rolling in the deep’) en blanco y negro, tiene una estética muy teatral protagonizada por la cantante con un gran equipo de bailarines y la manzana con un rol principal.
Después de varios meses de rumores, el regreso de Adele vino precedido por el lanzamiento del single ‘Easy On Me‘ en octubre, el cuál tuvo una gran acogida: de salida batió el récord de streaming de una canción en un día en Spotify y fue otro éxito mundial en su carrera (#1 en EE.UU., U.K. y más países, durante varias semanas). Se esperaba con ansia este retorno ya que consiguió vender más de 15 millones de copias de “25” (2015) durante sus primeros tres meses a la venta.
“30”, compuesto en un el periodo turbulento de su vida, aborda temas acerca de la separación, el divorcio, la maternidad y la ansiedad de la fama. Para el mismo, ha contado con producción de Max Martin (Taylor Swift, Coldplay), Shellback (Taylor Swift, P!nk), Ludwig Göransson (Black panther) , Inflo (Little Simz, Michael Kiwanuka) y Greg Kurstin (Kelly Klarson, Foo Fitghers), entre otros. Con el título sigue la cronología de nombrarlos con el año en el que comienza a grabarlo, de ahí sus anteriores “19”, “21” y “25”.
Consolidada ya como todo un icono de la música popular contemporánea y con más de 120 millones de ventas entre discos y sencillos, Adele es la primera mujer en conseguir 3 singles simultáneos en el Top 10 de Billboard USA y ha ganado ya numerosos premios, entre ellos 15 Grammy’s. Debutó en 2006 y en su corta carrera ha destacado con singles como ‘Chasing Pavements’, ‘Rolling in the deep’, ‘Someone like you’, ‘Set fire to the rain’, ‘Skyfall’, ‘Hello, ‘When we were young’ o ‘Send my love’.
