El cantante británico Ed Sheeran presenta ‘Shivers’, su nuevo single presentado con el siguiente vídeo oficial. Es el siguiente adelanto de su próximo álbum “= (equals)” tras el éxito del primero, ‘Habits’.
‘Shivers’ es un tema medio-tiempo pop que ha sido compuesto por Ed Sheeran, Kal Lavelle, Johnny McDaid & Steve Mac y producido por Ed Sheeran, Fred again. El vídeo musical, lleno de bailes y colores, ha sido dirigido por Dave Meyers y cuenta con la participación de la actriz Anna Sophia Robb. Mientras continúa triunfando en las principales listas de ventas internacionales el primer single ‘Bad Habits‘, lanzado el pasado mes de junio y más recientemente ‘Visting Hours’ que ha sido simplemente un single promocional.
Así describe Ed Sheran este nuevo tema: «Lo escribí nada más terminar la gira de Divide en una granja alquilada en Suffolk, donde habíamos montado un estudio durante un par de semanas para ver qué pasaba. La escribí en el transcurso de 3 días, lo cual es muy diferente para mí, pero sentí que era demasiado especial como para equivocarme. Originalmente iba a ser el primer single, pero no veía un mundo en el que Bad Habits existiera si no salía en verano. Shivers siempre me pareció más otoñal. Espero que os guste, a mí me encanta».
“= (equals)” será su quinto álbum de estudio y se publicará el próximo 29 de octubre, con el que, siguiendo la línea de sus anteriores discos (+,x y ÷), el cantante británico ha vuelto a recurrir a un signo matemático para dar título a su nuevo trabajo discográfico. Una colección de 14 canciones que reflejan las vivencias de Sheeran durante los últimos años. Ha sido escrito y grabado en Reino Unido (Suffolk, Londres), Suecia y EE.UU. (Los Ángeles) con producción ejecutiva a cargo de Ed Sheeran, FRED y Johnny McDaid.
Este nuevo disco supone el regreso de Ed Sheeran a la actividad musical después de anunciar, hace casi dos años, que se retiraba de la música para dedicarse a la vida familiar. El artista se ha convertido en uno de los artistas de mayor éxito comercial (ha vendido más de 150 millones de discos) en todo el mundo desde la publicación de su primer disco, “+ (Plus)” (2011), al que siguieron “x (Multiply)” (2014), “÷ (Divide)” (2017) y por último, “No.6 Collaborations Project” ( 2019, con artistas como Justin Bieber, Camila Cabello o Bruno Mars). Entre sus singles de éxito destacan temas como ‘The A Team’, ‘Sing’, ‘Thinking out loud’, ‘Castle on the hill’, ‘Shape of you’, ’Perfect’ o ‘I don´t care’ (con Justin Bieber).
