La cantante canadiense Avril Lavigne colabora con el rapero estadounidense Mod Sun en su nuevo single, ‘Flames’, su unión acompañada del siguiente videoclip. Un nuevo single con el que los nostálgicos fans de la artista del pop punk estarán más que satisfechos.
‘Flames’ fue compuesta por Derek Ryan Smith (Mod Sun), Avril Lavigne y John Feldmann con producción de este último. Publicada por Big Noise como el tercer sencillo del próximo cuarto álbum de estudio de Mod Sun. El vídeo musical ha sido dirigido por Mod Sun con Charlie Zwick.
“Avril Lavigne tiene una de mis voces favoritas en la música.”, comenta Mod Sun, añadiendo: “Es tan fuerte y confiada, pero llena de emoción e inflexiones únicas que solo su voz puede hacer. Esta canción tiene mucho más peso de lo que parece. Hay un mensaje muy profundo dentro de ella».
El también compositor Derek Ryan Smith, más conocido como Mod Sun, debutó musicalmente en 2004 y ha lanzado seis mixtapes, tres EP y tres álbumes de estudio a lo largo de su carrera. Ahora se encuentra preparando su cuarto álbum de estudio del que ya ha adelantado también canciones como ‘Bones’ y ‘Karma’.
Avril Lavigne es una de las artistas más influyentes de la cultura pop punk de los 2000, que saltó a la fama con el hit ‘Complicated’ (2002). Ha lanzado seis álbumes de estudio hasta ahora, vendiendo casi 50 millones de álbumes y 80 millones de sencillos en todo el mundo, con éxitos como ‘Complicated’, ‘Sk8er Boi’, ‘I’m with You’, ‘My Happy Ending’, ‘Girlfriend’ y ‘What The Hell’.
