Lady Gaga y Tony Bennett vuelven a colaborar en ‘I get a kick out of you’, el primer single de su nuevo álbum conjunto con lanzamiento programado para inicios de octubre y que viene acompañado del correspondiente videoclip.
Lady Gaga ha comentado: «El día que lanzamos ‘Cheek to cheek’ en 2014, Tony Bennett me llamó y me preguntó si quería grabar otro álbum con él, esta vez celebrando las canciones de Cole Porter. Siempre me siento honrada de cantar con mi amigo Tony, así que, por supuesto, acepté la invitación». Este primer single, ‘I Get a Kick Our of You’ fue escrito por Cole Porter para el musical de Broadway «Anyting goes» (1934) y se hizo popular en 1936 en la película del mismo nombre, por Ethel Merman. También ha sido versionada cientos de veces, por artistas como Frank Sinatra o Ella Fitzgerald.
«Love for sale» será el segundo álbum conjunto de Lady Gaga y Tony Bennett, tras el anterior publicado hace 7 años bajo el título de «Cheek to cheek» (2014). Se compondrá de 10 cortes interpretando composiciones de Cole Porter (en su primer álbum conjunto solo una canción, ‘Anything goes’ era del legendario compositor americano) y ha sido grabado en los Electric Lady Studios de Nueva York, con Bennett diagnosticado con la enfermedad de Alzheimer en el momento de las sesiones y coincidiendo con su 95 cumpleaños. Estará conformado tanto por duetos entre Gaga y Bennett como por temas interpretados por ellos solos.
La también actriz publicó su último estudio en 2020, “Chromatica”, con singles destacados como ‘Stupid Love’, ‘Rain On Me’ (con Ariana Grande) o ‘911’. Lady Gaga también en los últimos meses ha participado en un anuncio de colaboración con la marca de champagne Dom Pérignon a través de su fundación ‘Born This Way Lady Gaga’ y otra con la marca de gallegas Oreo. Tiene pendiente de estreno para noviembre la película “La casa de Gucci” del afamado cineasta Ridley Scott, inspirada en la historia real del emporio familiar tras la legendaria firma de moda italiana.
