La legendaria banda británica de heavy metal Iron Maiden presenta ‘The writing on the wall’ , su primer single en 6 años que viene acompañado del siguiente videoclip. Es el primer anticipo de su nuevo álbum «Senjutsu», que se publicará este mismo año.
‘The writing on the wall’ , un tema de fuerte componente bíblico, ha sido compuesto por Adrian Smith (guitarrista) y Bruce Dickinson (frontman) con producción de Kevin Shirley y coproducción de Steve Harris (bajista). El vídeo musical, de 6 minutos de duración, es obra de Mark Andrews y Andrew Gordon, quienes trabajaron para Pixar, junto a la productora londinense BlinkInk, contando con el concepto inicial de Dickinson.
“Tenía una idea bastante clara del concepto que debía acompañar la canción y cuando conocí a Mark y Andrew a través de Zoom Zoom, rápidamente quedó claro que todos estábamos en la misma sintonía y esto se reforzó con la adición de Nicos y su joven equipo de BlinkInk. Nuestras reuniones semanales de Zoom del equipo eran, por lo general, muy creativas y muy divertidas.”, comenta Dickinson, añadiendo:“Estoy muy orgulloso de la forma en que salió el video. Es más como una mini-película, de verdad. Sabía que iba a funcionar tan pronto como Mark diera vida a mi visión con sus increíbles guiones gráficos. Pensé que podríamos hacer algo muy especial juntos. Creo que lo hicimos y espero que nuestros fans estén de acuerdo. De hecho, fue creado por ellos.”
«Senjutsu», el 17º álbum de estudio de Iron Maiden, está previsto que se publique a principios de septiembre y es el primero desde «The book of souls» (2015). Para el mismo volvieron a grabar en Guillaume Tell Studio en París con la producción habitual de Kevin Shirley y Steve Harris. Estaba previsto que el grupo reemprendiera este verano el tramo europeo del tour «Legacy Of The Beast», pero las condiciones sanitarias les han llevado a posponerlo al verano del próximo año, con citas en España.
