La cantante colombiana Shakira presenta ‘Don’t wait up’ su primer single en solitario en inglés en varis años que viene acompañado del correspondiente videoclip y está previsto que sea el primer adelanto de su quinto álbum en ese mismo idioma.
‘Don’t wait up’ ha sido producida y compuesta por Ian Kirkpatrick (Dua Lipa, Britney Spears, Selena Gomez, Jason Derulo) y Emilia Warren, un tema de pop con elementos de EDM y house marcado por melodías de un teclado, siendo anunciada como un himno bailable de empoderamiento que invita a todo el mundo a la pista. «Me emociona compartir mi nueva canción ‘Don’t wait up’ con todo el mundo – el día que la creamos en el estudio, ¡yo sabía que le quedaría perfecta al verano y esas noches donde no quieres pensar en el mañana!», ha comentado Shakira sobre el single. El videoclip ha sido rodado en Tenerife con dirección del prestigioso Warren Fu (Lana Del Rey, The Weeknd y Haim, entre otros).
Shakira es la cantante colombiana más exitosa mundialmente también en activo desde 1995, ha vendido más de 80 millones de discos en todo el mundo. Se espera que este que sea el anticipo de un nuevo álbum de estudio, sobre el que se encuentra trabajando, que de continuidad al último por el momento, «El dorado» (2017), que contenía los singles destacados ‘La bicicleta’ junto a Carlos Vives, ‘Chantaje’ con Maluma, ‘Perro fiel’ con Nicky Jam o ‘Me enamoré’. También ha presentado desde entonces diferentes colaboraciones como ‘Me gusta’ junto a Anuel AA, ‘Clandestino’ con Maluma ‘Tutu (Remix)’ junto a Camilo & Pedro Capó o ‘Girl Like Me‘ junto a Black Eyed Peas.
