La joven (25) cantante Mabel está de regreso con el tema ‘Let Them Know‘, el primer anticipo de su segundo trabajo discográfico vía Universal Music y que viene acompañado del siguiente videoclip.
‘Let them know‘ ha sido compuesta junto a sus colaboradores Raye, SG Lewis y MNEK en un tema nacido durante el confinamiento por la pandemia del Covid-19 y en el que Mabel apuesta por un sonido house-pop cercano a su último single junto a Tiësto, ‘God is a Dancer‘, que supuso otro éxito en su corta carrera musical superando actualmente los 150 millones de streams en Spotify. El vídeo musical ha sido dirigido por Isaac Rentz.
Según ha comentado Mabel: “Pasé tanto tiempo viviendo en mi caparazón. Tenía tanto miedo de dar rienda suelta a todo mi potencial y ser yo misma porque estaba aterrorizada de lo que la gente pensaría. Esta siguiente parte del viaje está dedicada a cualquiera que alguna vez haya sentido miedo de ser realmente ellos mismos. Solo quiero que sepas que lo que realmente eres es suficiente, es más que suficiente y no quiero nada más que estar orgulloso de eso. Hágales saber.»
La británica Mabel ( aunque es española de nacimiento, Málaga, y posteriormente fue criada entre Suecia y Londres ya que es hija de la conocida cantante de los 80’s Neneh Cherry ) presentó su primer álbum «High expectations» en 2019 y fue #3 en las listas de Reino Unido, siendo el disco más vendido para una artista femenina en su debut en 2019 (lleva 96 semanas en la lista y no ha salido del top 100 aún). En singles ha conseguido ya 6 top 10 en su país , siendo su mayor éxito lo que ‘Don’t call me up’ (fue #3 y estuvo 50 semanas en la lista). Más recientemente destacó en la colaboración con Clean Bandit y 24KGoldn, ‘Tick Tock’.
