La banda The Killers y el legendario Bruce Springsteen presentn ‘Dustland’, su primera colaboración, después de muchos años de admiración y respeto mutuo, y que viene acompañada del siguiente videoclip.
Esta canción se trata de una versión de la canción favorita para Bruce de The Killers, ‘A Dustland Fairytale’, del su aclamado álbum «Day & Age» (2008). La letra de la canción original era una oda a los padres de Brandon Flowers, el vocalista de la banda de Las Vegas. Se desconoce si estará incluida en un nuevo álbum de The Killers, ya que anunciaron hace pocos meses que entraban en el estudio de grabación para grabar nuevo material que está previsto que salga este año.
Según relató Brandon en sus redes sociales, todo comenzó en 2020 con un mensaje recibido en su móvil procedente de Bruce alabando una actuación del grupo con la canción original. «Bruce ha escrito mucho sobre personas como mis padres y ha encontrado mucha belleza en las esperanzas y sueños de las personas invisibles. Sus luchas, y sus pérdidas», ha destacado el músico en sus mensajes, en los que agradece al ‘Boss’ «haber abierto esta puerta».
The Killers publicó en 2020, en mitad de la pandemia de Covid-19, su último disco «Imploding The Mirage» , el cuál les llevará en 2022 de gira por multitud de países, entre ellos el festival madrileño «Mad Cool». Por su parte, el rockero estadounidense Bruce Springsteen publicó también el año pasado «Letter To You», su primer álbum en 6 años acompañado de la icónica The E Street Band.
