La cantante Natalie Imbruglia presenta ‘Build it better’, el primer single de su regreso al panorama musical tras 6 años y que viene acompañado del siguiente videoclip. El tema estará incluido en su próximo álbum, «Firebird», previsto a publicarse para el próximo otoño.
‘Build it better’ ha sido compuesta por Luke Fitton, Fiona Bevan & Natalie Imbruglia, con producción de ella misma con MyRiot, en una canción que se presta a un mundo que se recupera de una pandemia. «Firebird» será su álbum de regreso, el sexto en su carrera con lanzamiento programado para el próximo 24 de septiembre, que contará con las colaboraciones de Albert Hammond Jr de The Strokes o KT Tunstall, entre otros
La también actriz australiana ha comentado: «Hacer este álbum ha sido una experiencia muy profunda y satisfactoria. Habiendo pasado por un largo período en el que viví el bloqueo del escritor, a veces era difícil imaginar llegar a este lugar», añadiendo: «Antes de la pandemia, comencé el proceso de escribir este álbum en Londres y poco después me dirigí a Nashville. Con cada sesión y con cada nuevo colaborador, comencé a ganar confianza, a encontrar mi voz nuevamente y a crear el sonido y el estilo que me parecían auténticos»
Natalie Imbruglia se hizo muy popular, después de trabajar durante años en la serie más famosa de su país («Neighbours»), a finales los 90’s con el exitoso single ‘Torn’ de su álbum debut «Left of the middle» (1997) que vendió 6 millones de copias. Su nuevo disco será el primero desde «Male» (2015) y el primero de nuevas composiciones desde «Come to life» (2009), para el que contó con la colaboración de Coldplay.
