La banda K-pop surcoreana BTS presenta el videoclip de ‘Butter’, su nuevo single cantado en inglés y que ya está batiendo records.
‘Butter’ ha sido compuesta por RM (componente de la banda) junto con Rob Grimaldi, Stephen Kirk, Ron Perry, Jenna Andrews, Alex Bilowitz y Sebastián García contando con producción de Ron Perry, Rob Grimaldi & Stephen Kirk. El tema está cantado enteramente en inglés (el segundo tras ‘Dynamite’ que fue lanzada en agosto del año pasado, siendo la primera canción de un grupo de K-pop en debutar en el #1 del «Hot 100» de Billboard EE.UU., así como la que permaneció más tiempo en la lista -32 semanas-).
Fue descrita por el propio grupo como «una canción de verano que es algo suave y carismática», añadiendo : «Queríamos hacer algo que fuera fácil de escuchar. Que fuera ‘smooth like butter’ (estribillo de la canción, que en inglés significa ‘suave como la mantequilla’)». El vídeo musical, que fue dirigido por Yong Seok Choi (Lumpens) y ya pasó las 150 millones de vistas en YouTube ( sigue subiendo rápidamente), tiene una estética muy estadounidense y setentera con además una dedicatoria especial para ARMY, el grupo de fans oficial de BTS. Es el siguiente single que publican tras ‘Film out’ en japonés el pasado mes de abril.
BTS son un grupo de siete chicos de Bangtan con edades que rondan los 26 años y que llevan varios años batiendo records con sus temas, giras, y películas. Sus seguidores se cuentan por millones y su fama se extiende por todos los rincones del mundo e incluso la revista TIME los situaban entre las personas más influyentes. Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V y Jungkook son los nombres de sus integrantes, máximos representantes actuales del K-Pop. El año pasado publicaron dos álbums con gran éxito: “Map of the Soul: 7” y “BE” (2020) con 8 canciones con los propios BTS totalmente involucrados en su producción y realización (se incluyendo el single ‘Dynamite’ que ha sido un hit mundial y el posterior ‘Life goes on’). También colaboraron en el remix de ‘Savage Love’, éxito mundial de Jawsh 685 y Jason Derulo.
