La banda alternativa Evanescence presenta ‘Better without you’, su nuevo single acompañado del correspondiente videoclip. El tema está incluido en su último álbum “The bitter truth” publicado recientemente, el primero de inéditos en una década y quinto en su carrera.
‘Better without you’ ha sido producida por Nick Raskulinecz y compuesta por Amy Lee, Jen Majura, Nick Raskulinecz, Tim McCord, Troy McLawhorn & Will Hunt. El video musical es obra del cineasta Eric D. Howell y muestra a la banda tocando el tema a la vez que su vocalista, Amy Lee, vagando por un espacio laberíntico y rompiendo las paredes que la rodean con su voz y el pie de micrófono.
“The bitter truth” ha sido producido por Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Rush, Deftones) que trabajó con la banda en Nashville, viéndose obligados a escribir y grabar la mayor parte del álbum por separado a lo largo del 2020 a causa de la pandemia. Viene precedido por los singles ‘Wasted on you’ ‘The game is over’, ‘Use my voice’ y ‘Yeah right’. Junto a la publicación del nuevo videoclip, Evanescence anunció que hará un show gratuito por streaming en mayo a traves de su facebook y conducido por Alice Cooper. Será la primera vez que la banda presente los nuevos temas en vivo.
El grupo de estilo rock gótico Evanescence está compuesto por la cantante, compositora y pianista principal de Evanescence, Amy Lee, el bajista Tim McCord, el baterista Will Hunt, el guitarrista principal Troy McLawhorn y la guitarrista y corista Jen Majura. La banda ganadora de 2 premios Grammy’s, tuvo gran impacto mundialmente con su emblemático álbum debut en 2003 “Fallen” (más de 17 millones de copias vendidas), gracias sobre al éxito del sencillo ‘Bring Me To Life’. Después de múltiples giras por todo el mundo, publicaron “The Open Door” (2006), el autotitulado “Evanescence” (2011) y “Synthesis” (2017) con reinterpretaciones de algunas de sus canciones más conocidas en clave sinfónica.
