La cantante estadounidense Gwen Stefani con la colaboración de la rapera Saweetie presenta nueva versión remix de su último single ‘Slow Clap’, acompañado del correspondiente videoclip. Es el nuevo adelanto de su próximo álbum de estudio.
‘Slow Clap’ es un tema producido por Luke Niccoli, contando en la composición para el remix con Tayla Parx, Kameron Glasper, Ross Golan, Saweetie & Gwen Stefani. Prosigue a su anterior single ‘Let Me Reintroduce Myself’, en su regreso en 4 años con el sonido que le dio a conocer como parte del grupo No Doubt. Ambos temas formarán parte del próximo trabajo discográfico de Gwen Stefani (quinto en su carrera), cuyo lanzamiento aún no ha sido confirmado pero se espera para este mismo año.
Según el comunicado de Universal Music, “la canción mezcla el pop con ritmos agradables inspirados en el reggae y en el hip-hop. Stefani ofrece una letra vulnerable acerca de abrazar la resiliencia y mantener la confianza, a pesar de sentirse indefensa”. El divertido y colorido vídeo musical ha sido dirigido por Sophie Muller, mostrando a ambas artistas asumiendo el control de un gimnasio de la escuela secundaria.
Es el nuevo material discográfico de Gwen Stefani desde el álbum “This is What The Truth Feels Like” (2016) y el disco navideño “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” (2017) con su posterior reedición de este año pasado. También había lanzado últimamente duetos con su pareja Blake Shelton como ‘Nobody but you’ o ‘Happy aywhere’, así como su colaboración en el disco de remixes de Dua Lipa, para el single ‘Physical’ con nueva versión por Mark Ronson.
Gwen Stefani debutó como cantante en la banda No Doubt en 1986, alcanzando la fama con el tercer álbum “Tragic Kingdom” (1995) y el éxito mundial ‘Don’t Speak’ (1996).
