El grupo británico Steps presenta una nueva revisión de su tema ‘Hearbreak in This City‘ con la colaboración de Michelle Visage (RuPaul’s Drag Race), acompañada del siguiente videoclip. Esta nueva versión estará incluida en «What The Future Holds Pt. 2», la reedición de su sexto álbum de estudio.
‘Hearbreak in This City‘ ha sido producida por Julian Gingell & Barry Stone y compuesta por Karl Twigg & Stella Attar. El tema se da a conocer con un colorido videoclip dirigido por Submarine Films en el que los componentes del grupo adaptan el lenguaje de signos como parte de la coreografía. Se filmó en Manchester y, de acuerdo con las restricciones actuales por la pandemia, Lisa Scott-Lee grabó sus escenas más cerca de su casa en Dubai.
El pasado mes de noviembre se puso a la venta su séptimo trabajo discográfico, «What The Future Holds» (debutó al #2 en albums U.K.), tres años después de su anterior producción. Incluía singles como el del mismo título, ‘What The Future Holds’ o ‘Something In Your Eyes’. «What The Future Holds Pt. 2» está previsto que se publique en septiembre de 2021, contendrá diez temas nuevos además de varioas versiones acústicas y remixes, así como esta nueva revisión del tema ‘Hearbreak in This City‘ con la colaboración de Michelle Visage, que se convierte en el cuarto sencillo del álbum. En noviembre está prevista su próxima gira por todo el Reino Unido, en 18 shows, con Sophie Ellis-Bextor de telonera.
La agrupación británica de pop Steps, formada por Lee Latchford-Evans, Claire Richards, Faye Tozer, Ian H Watkins y Lisa Scott-Lee, se formó en 1997, aunque se separaron en el 2001 pero luego de una reunión en 2011 llevaron a cabo una gira de 12 fechas con entradas agotadas y se han mantenido activos desde ese momento. Han vendido más de 20 millones de discos y onsiguieron que sus singles llegaran a lo más alto de las listas de éxitos entre 1997-2001.
Por su parte, la cantante Michelle Visage, ex-estrella de la agrupación de chicas Seduction y que tuvo un gran éxito con The S.O.U.L. S.Y.S.T.E.M. en la banda sonora de «The Bodyguard» (uno de los álbumes más vendidos de todos los tiempos), destaca actualmente como jueza del programa RuPaul’s Drag Race y hacía casi 30 años que no estrenaba un single (desde 1992).
