‘Deja vu’ es el nuevo single de la cantante estadounidense Olivia Rodrigo que viene acompañado del siguiente videoclip y da continuidad probablemente al mayor éxito a nivel mundial de los últimos meses, ‘Drivers license’.
‘Deja vu’ es otro avance de su álbum debut «*O*R» con lanzamiento programado para mayo de 2021 a través de Geffen Records. Ha sido compuesta por Olivia Rodrigo junto al habitual Dan Nigro (que ha trabajado con artistas como Conan Gray, Carly Rae Jepsen o Lewis Capaldi), quien también se encarga de la producción. Su anterior sencillo, ‘Drivers license’, se convirtió en la canción más reproducida en un día, liderando plataformas como Spotify y debutando como #1 en Billboard de EE.UU. El vídeo musical ha sido dirigido por Allie Avital y coprotagonizado por Talia Ryder, con Malibu como escenario, ciudad que es mencionada en la letra. De momento, ya lleva casi 10 millones de vistas en pocos días. «El concepto de deja vu siempre me ha fascinado y pensé que sería genial usarlo en una canción sobre los sentimientos complejos después de que termina una relación», ha comentado Olivia Rodrigo, añadiendo: «Comencé a escribir y grabar ‘deja vu’ el otoño pasado y me divertí mucho creando las diferentes melodías y texturas sonoras que escuchas en todo momento».
